Pirates!
Sterno reminded me that it's talk like a pirate day, and here I am with my Pirates of the Carribean loaned out :(

Bittersweet Revenge
While I see this guy's point in saving fuel, it pains me that the savings comes through responsible driving; however, I'm thinking this concept of not speeding would be good for me to adapt since I am now two tickets and $300 deep in trouble from this past month :(

Jager Joy!
I can't claim this week to be the best so far. For starters, my computer blew up somehow, and I assumed that if you marry somebody with a degree in computer hardware that has experience with computer software, they actually may have some value with computer blow-ups, but apparantly this is false. Way false. I fortunately have a computer on loan with my hard drive in it (it's all very confusing) so I can still do basic things, but I can't work on a couple projects that uses specific software on my computer - very bad timing.

There's also been some feelings of self-doubt and slight depression with the rather thankless and mostly moniless work I've been doing. Don't get me wrong, I get tremendous rewards out of teaching, both TKD and academically, but let's not live in this Candy Land where all that is just fun and rewarding. There's a lot of work and some depression that makes those rewards so great. I'm also struggling with my own feelings of stupidity, which is stupid in itself because I have academic and work accomplishments, but sometimes I considering having a good job the definition of intelligence or success. Yes, I know that's not always true, and I'm lucky to have choices, but that knowledge doesn't always take the emotion away.

So.... let's move to how this ...more difficult... week has moved into a havan of happiness and joy: my new Jagar machine :) There will be a high focus on Jagar bombs and shots this weekend. Hopefully this doesn't equate me with instantaneous lush, but seriously, how cool is it to have your own Jagar machine? The next gaming party's goin' rock ;)

New Schedule Established
Unfortunately, teaching academic courses is NOT the same as TKD where you just walk in and share your knowledge. The added requirements of preparation has thrown my transitioning (see post below) into a time of depression. I didn't know which way was up between the academic classes, TKD, website updates, Stargate, and other smaller issues, such as piano practice, my OWN TKD practice, and KTTS planning. Measures needed to be taken in order to regain my life. Since afternoons are clearly shot for the most part due to TKD, I needed to balance all these things out in the mornings. So now I address each issue once per week (one morning each) for Literature, World History, website updates, and Stargate. The other issues fit in each morning based on how much time I have. Although it is too early to really tell, it is proving successful so far by allowing the crushing weight on my chest to be relieved in order to enjoy my evenings and weekends better :)
