Studying...for pleasure?
Sometimes I step back to look at my life in a nutshell, only to discover activities that don't seem normal. For example, as I stew over hand combat rules for my Eberron Monk, I find myself surrounded by books, online resources, and personal tutoring so I can play a hand combat game correctly. Hmmmm. That sounds familiar, but only for required research papers. I realised that I have recently spent more time making sure I understand rules of combat than on my current masters class. Isn't there something a little off balance there? It's not that I'm adverse to study for pleasure, but everybody has 10-15+ years on me with D&D games. I suppose I should focus on my research (real research) paper sometime today...
