Costume Woes
If it has not been obvious in the past that I have zero ability with a needle, let me make it perfectly clear how incapable I am with any level of sewing. As a result, a visit to my regular alterations lady was required for my Halloween costume. For the record, she is rude and unprofessional, but a really awesome seamstress, so I put up with it. I was informed that she does not do that "sort of thing" and only sewed professionally. I was in shock because it would have taken her 20-30 minutes for an easy buck, but apparantly she's too good for that. I informed her that since she was doing so well, she wouldn't need my business anymore.

It was all very upsetting and nearly made me cry, although I refused to allow that emotion surface until I was long gone.
