There's something slightly discouraging about teaching your dad how to play Rummy for the first time when his first hand ever goes out with 210 points, and the second hand ends somewhat quickly when his newly received cards are suddenly slapped down with three Aces, three 3s, another set of 3, with one card in his hand...to discard of course. Don't play cards with a preacher. They look all clueless and innocent, and then *boom*...
