Unpatriotic?
I going to probably be extremely unpatriotic and rude by asking what is so special about Private Lynch. I really felt for the family and was thrilled that she lived through the Iraqi attack when her unit went the wrong way. It rang of American "toughness" to survive what she endured. However, many other people have survived the war through similar circumstances and some have died. What of them? Maybe one or two CNN stories? It's like Lynch is some kind of celebrated hero, being an upcoming movie icon and now possibly a book publication, while the others just quietly head home or are forgotten. Although I am happy for her and understand the community bond that resulted from her homecoming, I don't understand the National level of interest.
